Variperm (Canada) Limited has been supplying the oil industry with innovative products since 1968. From our Calgary manufacturing facility we produce perforated liners for horizontal wells. Variperm's perforated liners are a cost effective way of exposing geological formations to atmospheric pressure.
The perforated liners are manufactured with inline Multi Spindle Drill Presses. Our standard perforation patterns use 9.53mm and 12.70mm diameter holes to produce perforated liners with 3% inflow area. Upon request, custom hole sizes and perforation patterns can be designed for specific applications.
The integrity of the liner is not compromised when it is perforated using circular holes to achieve the required inflow area. The stress concentration factors introduced into the liner as a result of the perforation process are limited when circular holes are used. As a result, the residual stresses caused by the bending and torsional loading which occurs during the installation of the liner are vastly reduced..
Circulation systems are available to accommodate a sluffing formation to allow proper placement of the perforated liners. Variperm's professional support staff can assist you in the field when a circulating system is required.
Every perforated casing and tubing joint which is manufactured by Variperm is put through a comprehensive deburring process. Every hole is visually inspected and cleaned of burr material. We understand the importance of completing a well with a clean liner and as a result of this understanding our deburring process is one of the most comprehensive in the business. |
