Sand Control issues were first encountered in the early stages of mans quest for water. As humanity developed so did the quest for water, as well as the need of oil and its derivatives. The challenging search for both water and oil has been met with another problem, sand control, which is as equally challenging. Great strides have been made in the area of sand control and the products that are used to accomplish high velocity water wells and sand free production oil wells.

Variperm’s Sand Control products and services include wire wrapped screen, wire wrapped pre-packed screen, thin packed screen, water well screen, environmental screen, V-Pex wire wrapped liners, gang perforated liners, gravel packing services, industrial filters, sand control programs, sand control design, well evaluation for sand control methods and supervision and implementation of sand control products with related services.

All of our products are engineered, designed and manufactured in our Calgary, Alberta plant. This affords our Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin customers with exceptional response time on their order and service requirements. If our customers experience problems at the well site we are able to mobilize crews, replacement equipment and personnel within 24 hrs, and have them at the well site. And, because our sand control products are manufactured in Calgary, we have the ability to make changes or have replacement sand control products available at a moment’s notice.

Along with design and manufacture of our sand control products our field personnel located in any of our five (5) operating centers are trained and have extensive experience in running these systems whether it is in a vertical or horizontal application.

Variperm's sand control products are manufactured to meet the specific needs of each individual client, ensuring that every screen is the right screen. The Pre-Packed Screen has been integrated with the latest Wire Wrap technology to provide outstanding durability and performance. Pre-Packed Screens are an economical alternative that may be used to complete vertical or horizontal wells when a conventional gravel pack is not feasible. In situations where it is necessary to maximize the base pipe diameter, minimize the screen assembly diameter, and maintain a large inflow area, Variperm's Thin-Packed Screens meets the challenge. Variperm's perforated Liner Systems are a proficient cost effective way of exposing the geological formation to atmospheric pressure.
